Our Fall Newsletter is here and we could not be more excited to share it with you at the end of this long weekend of gratitude.
Read on to learn about Rachele and her four children whose lives transformed when PVSS welcomed them into our Shelter. Now, they are in our 1-year Annex Program and Rachele is happy to be the mom she has always aspired to be for her children, while giving back to the community by working at Janus of Santa Cruz.
You will also be inspired by Enedina and Felipe and their four children. They struggled to afford a healthy environment for their 12-year old son fighting leukemia – until they found PVSS. Today, he is in remission and the entire family is enjoying the opportunity to focus on their goals and dreams in our Transitional Housing Program.
You will learn more about our families’ achievements over the past year. Financial empowerment is one of the key tenants of our programming: savings turn into rental deposits and down payments on a new home, preparing families for unexpected expenses.
Look back with us at our inaugural Shelter to Home Fall Benefit Dinner & Auction on November 2nd. More than 100 long-term and new friends gathered for PVSS at Jalisco Restaurant. George Ow, Jr., gave the Keynote Speech.
Join us in welcoming Beatriz Flores and Jordan Thorpe as new Board Members, Oana Alexan as Development Director, and Perla Villegas as Weekend Shelter Assistant!
